Inglot O2M Breathable Nail Polish #636

Hi everyone! Wow, I am so sorry it has been a long time since my last blog post! I have been extremely busy with finishing uni and exams and all that jazz so haven't had the time but with a day off work today I thought it's about time I blogged again!

Today I have for you another breathable nail polish by Inglot. This one is 636, a gorgeous purple shade packed with subtle gold shimmer, I can even see some red in there too! I love the bottle design of these polishes and they come in their own little box which is great too. This colour reminds me of a lighter version of Butter London's Pitter Patter which I absolutely love. The formula of this polish was quite good although I found it slightly more runny than most polishes I have used. I have two coats of polish on, no top coat to show you the full effect.

Indoor shot with flash. You can see this is a nice deep purple but its not too dark. The shimmer in this is amazing, it really shows up well in the light. Excuse my non painted thumb haha :P

I went outside to take a shot however it is cloudy today so not the best lighting. You can see how shiny it is though, this is without a top coat!

Really like this colour, it didn't stain as much as I thought when I removed it either. I think this is a nice elegant colour and am very happy with it. I remember this one was in the 50% off bin and the girl at the Inglot stall said it was one of her favourites so I had to add it to my basket, glad I did too!

Sorry this is such a short post guys but I will get back into the swing of things and have more posts for you soon :) Hope you are all well and are looking forward to Christmas! I know I am!

One Direction and a Chat!

Hi everyone! So, I have been absent with the polish posts for a while but I will be back with them soon!

I have had a busy past couple of weeks. I have been on uni holidays but of course still have so much work to do which sucks! I am working tomorrow so have naked nails and have just not felt like painting them. I hope I get this drive back soon so I can get back into swatching and taking polish photos! I can't wait until uni finishes and I can relax (sort of)! I now have One Direction to talk about, so if you are not a fan look away now :P

A friend got tickets to their show Tuesday night here in Adelaide and I was so so happy! She is my chummy and I love her so much for doing it. She did not like One Direction before the concert but I can happily say she is now a 1D convert and is almost as obsessed as I am. Their show was absolutely brilliant. They were on time, utilised the stage so well and chatted with the crowd! They are so funny too! A lot of people just cringe when you mention 1D but I don't know why that is. They are the nicest guys and I am so proud to be a fan. I would have loved to have met them whilst they were here however they were staying an hour out of the city (sensibly to avoid the crazed fans :P) and I had work and other things on...NOOO! I will share with you a few photos from the night, we had fantastic seats and could see them so well!!! I was singing along the whole time of course and took 183 photos - I DO NOT remember taking that many!

They came so close at one point it was so good!!! So now that my best friend is a huge fan like me, we were talking after the show and saying how we had to go and see them in London some day, it would be so cool etc etc.

Turns out, that may come a reality. There have been new dates added for their shows and I am patiently waiting for the tickets to come on sale so I can purchase them!!! Thats right everyone, I am going to the UK next year!!! I am so so so so excited about this! It has all seemed to fall into place so easily. If I can get these tickets then we are on the way. We are planning on doing a Contiki tour whilst over there to make the most of the time. The show we are (fingers crossed) attending is not until June so I have plenty of time to work and save as much money as possible. This will be made a lot easier thanks to my degree finally finishing at the end of the year!!!

I could squeal and dance around the lounge room right now I am so happy. I may in fact do that! All you people out there in London, get ready! We are coming! We have friends over there too so I will be able to see them and have a wonderful catch up!

Sorry for the sort of long gushing about 1D post :P I wanted to share this with you all and hopefully in the next 45 minutes I will know if we have secured seats to one of the 1D shows in London!!! It could not be better!!! I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend :)

My new tattoo...

Hi everyone! I wanted to share this with you. I got my third tattoo today! My brother was getting one on his arm finished and I had been thinking about getting a small bird for a while so I went with him to his session today and the girl said she could fit me in too! How happy I was!

This little bird has very special meaning to me and I was incredibly pleased with the job Kylie did. I took in a couple of photos for her as I liked a few different designs so she drew this up and incorporated it all in for me! I have cream on it in this photo hence why it is shiny haha. It took her about 20 minutes to complete and yes some parts hurt more than others but all in all it was not too bad! It is always worth it in the end!

My brother took these photos, he likes to think of himself as a professional photographer :P It faces away from me and is the perfect size. It is about as large as a 10c piece. Whilst waiting in the shop, I spotted a model of a Ulysses Butterfly on the shelf and the colour was just stunning. I asked Kylie about it and she said she had actually matched that colour to another girls tattoo just before mine and she could absolutely do the same thing for me. She used two different blues and white.

To finish, we had to do an outdoor shot. This shows where it is on my wrist and how it is facing. I just realised my naked nails make an appearance in this photo lol. I had glad wrap on it when it was finished, just to protect it whilst we drove home and that seems to have left a nice red mark on my arm, yay haha.

Just a quick post but I had to share this with all of you. It is the smallest of my tattoos and definitely my favourite one.

Have you got any tattoos?

Enjoy the weekend everyone!!! :D Em x

Bella Belle Nail Couture "Prince George"

By now you may know that I LOVE anything to do with the Royal Family. Kate, William and now George are my favourite Royals ever. I was browsing Facebook one night and came across an Australian Indie brand by the name of Bella Belle. I ventured to their page and was hooked as soon as I saw the first swatch of one of their polishes. It was just after Prince George was born and I could not believe when I saw a polish that Vicky (creator and polish whiz) had created a baby blue polish called Prince George. I knew I had to have it. This is my first Bella Belle polish and I ordered another yesterday, I couldn't resist. Bella Belle is owned by Vicky and she is based in Melbourne, Australia. Her polishes are all devine, just take a look for yourselves!

Prince George is a wonderful baby blue based polish with small blue and gold glitter flecks and larger gold hexagonal pieces. How incredible. I do like wearing blue polishes but I have never found one where I think WOW its beautiful! Until now. I took this shot outside and it is just fantastic, I have no words. The label is so elegant too!

Indoors with flash. Vicky is so creative, each and every polish she has for sale on her Etsy shop comes with a matching ring, it is so pretty! This was 2 coats of Prince George, no top coat and it applied like butter. The first coat was quite sheer but once I added a second, it was completely opaque. I didn't have much trouble with glitter distribution either. Some of the larger pieces did not want to come out of the bottle so more shaking is needed for that! Completely my fault, no way the polishes!

You can see in my bottle how all the glitter has settled, I am not a very good shaker lol. This is one of my all time favourite polishes. Yes, because it is called Prince George but also because of the colour. I am also not a huge glitter polish fan if you hadn't noticed but this one I love. An opaque base colour where you can still easily see the glitter. That's what I like!

I hope you like these swatches of Prince George! I have discovered a beautiful brand and I HAD to share it with all of you. Vicky has this and more polishes available on her Etsy shop and they range in price from $8 - $11. They are also "5-free". At this stage, shipping is only available within Australia but hopefully once word about these gets out, Vicky can expand her business!

If you don't have anything like this in your stash already (I certainly didn't!) then you really need it. Enjoy! I get excited every time I look at this polish :)

Sally Hansen "Mint Sorbet" & "Frutti Petutie"

I have had a much better polish day today! Yay! I am a member of many nail polish groups on Facebook and one girl from Australia was saying how Sally Hansen were doing a gift with purchase deal at Priceline. I love me a good gift with purchase and I could not resist one to do with nail polish so I went to the shops the next day! The deal was spend $20 on ANY products in the Sally Hansen range and get a free gift worth $53.30 or something near that amount. The freebies were fantastic, I will show you them in another post but today I will show you the polishes I bought to make it to $20. I decided on Frutti Petutie from the Salon Manicure range ($15.95) and Mint Sorbet from the Xtreme Wear range ($6.95). These colours are so bright and happy, I was very pleased with my choices. To showcase them both, I went with Frutti Petutie as an accent nail. Both colours were 2 coats, no top coat.

Slight painting mishap on a few fingers :P Mint Sorbet and Frutti Petutie. Both beautiful colours. I really like the mint colour, I didn't find it too similar to Essie Mint Candy Apple which was nice! For $7 I think this is a great colour to add to any collection, the name is yummy too!

It was hard to capture the real colour of Frutti Petutie. It is much more red in these photos but in real life it is so hard to describe, sort of a dark hot pink I guess. Application of both colours was wonderful, Mint Sorbet applied slightly streaky on the first coat but when I looked back and it had dried, it was completely evened out.

Outdoor shot. It is overcast today and very warm! You can get a better look at the real colour of Frutti Petutie here. I think this looks great outside :)

Very impressed with my Sally Hansen purchases! I will show you the colour I got in the free gift soon - there was a Salon Manicure colour, a nail board, base and top coat :) The Xtreme Wear range is probably my favourite out of Sally Hansen's polishes. The brush is great and they always last forever on my nails! Have you tried any of these colours or ranges?

More colours to come soon! I have just finished a swap with a girl in the US and am waiting on my package, there are some beauties coming to me that's for sure! So excited!

Rimmel Salon Pro "Disco Fever"

I just can't seem to get enough of the new line of Salon Pro nail polish by Rimmel. I have gone from never trying one of their polishes to now having 3. The colours, formula and end result are just awesome (on a couple of them!) So, after wearing Jazz Funk - a pinky rose colour - first, I decided to go for purple this time.  Disco Fever is one colour I was ummming and ahhhhing about before I thought "why not" and put it into my shopping basket and am half and half about this one...It is a purple colour (not too dark but not too sheer) with a hint of shimmer! Love me some shimmer! The formula however is a different story.

Left to right: Jazz Funk, Hip Hop and Disco Fever

Above are the 3 Salon Pro polishes I have...so far. I love the design of the lid, each one has the Rimmel crown indented in the top. I also love how they have the name clearly printed on the front of the bottle. It may not be in huge font but it is large enough to read and means you don't have to look at the underside of each bottle you pick up. Taking this photo slightly annoyed me as the lids didn't line up and all face the right way lol but hey, movin' on! I have already shown you Jazz Funk so onto the second polish I decided to try - Disco Fever!

Disco Fever is a bright purple with some hidden shimmer in it. The shimmer is not as obvious on the nail as it is in the bottle which is a pity. The formula is definitely not my favourite. It is quite sheer and I had major problems with patchiness. I am so unhappy with these pictures, my nails are so short and excuse the shocking painting on my middle finger :(

Ugh not happy. I did 3 coats on my middle finger and 2 on all the other fingers. You can see the patchiness on my ring finger, this polish just didn't work out for me. I got it on my cuticles on my middle finger and that was it. It did not want to budge. Ew.

You can see the shimmer a lot more in this picture, that is what I liked about this polish in the first place!

Outdoor shot. On the plus side, this dried so shiny it was incredible! You can see the reflection of the trees on my nails! How awesome!

Ok so quite an unsuccessful polish I have here. The colour is nice but the formula did not want to work for me. I was surprised as Jazz Funk which I had reviewed first was just fantastic and is a colour I absolutely adore. I am hoping Hip Hop is nicer to me, fingers crossed. Sorry Rimmel but this polish is going in my swap/give away pile, not impressed.

Have you tried this colour and had a totally different result?

Enjoy the day! Hopefully my next polish swatching is much much more successful for you! Em x

Review: Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream

The lovely Estee, whose blog and YouTube channels I absolutely ADORE, has a lot to answer for when it comes to my poor bank account. Her product reviews on her blog are just fantastic and I always find myself having to buy whatever she showcases. The Antipodes skincare range was no exception. I use KORA Organics skincare however the day/night cream is quite expensive and using it twice a day, I seemed to go through it quicker than I would have liked, so I decided to find a different night moisturiser for a cheaper price and after browsing Estee's blog, I just had to try this one. I can save my KORA product and enjoy a new one! Antipodes is a New Zealand based company and I am amazed I hadn't discovered their products sooner!

Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream - $49.00
This is one of the best night creams I have tried and believe me, I have sampled my fair share of skincare in my time. When a nourishing night cream contains ingredients like pure avocado oil, macadamia nut, manuka honey and kawakawa, you know its going to be good for your skin. First thing you notice is the smell. Oh my! It is gorgeous. This was nowhere near as overpowering as I thought it would be which is a big plus. It is quite a thick cream, so you only need the smallest amount and as you can see, I have barely scraped the surface of this! I have been using it for about 2 weeks and every morning when I wake up, my skin feels so soft and luscious. You can feel it works through the night to nourish. I got a couple of dry patches on my cheeks the other week, which I believe was due to the exfoliator I use, so one application of this cream and the next morning they were gone. It does not make my face feel clogged or greasy either.

I was quite pleased with the price of this too. I purchased this product from National Pharmacies where we are members, which means we get some discount :) If I remember correctly, this was about $38. I think the packaging is so handy, it's a great size and you can see ALL of the product so it allows you to scrape out every last bit of nourishing goodness! If you have dry skin or just want to try a new night cream out, I would definitely recommend giving this one a go. Maybe, just maybe when my KORA day cream runs out, I will have to try the Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream. Antipodes are winning me over with their concoctions, vanilla pod?! YUM! I have also been looking at getting their exfoliator and Manuka Honey Face Mask...mmmmmmm, how luxurious!

Have you tried any Antipodes products? What did you think?

L’OrĂ©al EverPure Range

I love washing my hair. The smell of the shampoo and conditioner is a big selling point for me, so when I saw one of my favourite Bloggers/YouTubers, Essiebutton, raving about the smell and just pure goodness of this L’OrĂ©al EverPure range, I had to have it :P This range is for colour treated hair which is just perfect for me. I get my hair colour touched up every 8 weeks or so and I want my hair in the best condition it can be with colour in it. It is also sulphate free which was another selling point. Let me begin by saying, this range smells AMAZING!!! As Estee put it, it's like you are in a day spa or something, which is completely and utterly true. Yum! I went out and purchased the shampoo and conditioner first and loved it that much that I got the leave in conditioner and the moisture mask.

L’OrĂ©al EverPure Shampoo & Conditioner - $14.99 ea
These products are simply fantastic. I got the moisture shampoo and conditioner as my hair gets extremely dry. Shampoo first, I love a shampoo that lathers up lots, it feels like I am washing my hair more :P so I was so pleased when this shampoo did exactly that. You only need a small amount of product and this froths up like nothing I've ever seen before. It feels great on my hair, leaves it squeaky clean and doesn't leave that annoying residue. The scent of this one is Rosemary and Juniper. So delicious, it makes me enjoy washing my hair so much! The conditioner is equally amazing. Again, a small amount of the product goes a long way and it smells like Rosemary and Mint. I prefer the scent of this one, so so so beautiful I just can't describe it! I leave the conditioner in for about 5 minutes or so then rinse it out. I have noticed a huge difference in the condition of my hair over the past few weeks of using these products. It is soft and shiny and my colour definitely has not faded as much as I have noticed previously.

L’OrĂ©al EverPure Moisture Leave-In Conditioner - $9.99
Leave-in conditioner is a must for me. I can't comb my hair properly if I don't apply some sort of leave-in product. I got this on special at the local chemist so I apologise if the price is not correct for this one. Another Rosemary and Mint scented product from EverPure, schwing! This leave-in conditioner is very concentrated so I use one pump after I have towel dried my hair. I apply it just on the mid-lengths and ends of my hair as sometimes it leaves the hair feeling slightly stiff (no other way to describe it but a little run through the hair with your fingers and it is all good). It is a clear serum that is slightly runny but nothing too drastic. My hair smells and feels amazing after it dries (I do not blow-dry my hair) and I do not wake up with greasy hair, another amazing bonus!

L’OrĂ©al EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque - $13.99
Finally, the hair mask. I make sure to use a treatment for my hair at least once a week. I shampoo first then apply this to the mid-lengths and ends of my hair and give it a quick comb through with my fingers. I leave it on for 5-10 minutes then rinse. I may go slightly crazy with this product and use more than is needed - it's the Rosemary and Mint smell again, I can't resist - but it always rinses out easily and doesn't leave my hair greasy. I am so pleased with the condition of my hair after using this mask, it is shiny and silky and easy to work with. It makes me feel like I am actually restoring moisture to my hair, wahoo!

There you have it, my rundown on the L’OrĂ©al EverPure Haircare Range. I am so happy I invested in these products, they seem to be widely available here and I can already see the positive effect is it having on the condition of my hair. They smell amazing (try it for yourself!) and are not extremely overpriced either. The packaging being pink and purple is also something I love :)

Have you tried the L’OrĂ©al EverPure or any of their other haircare ranges? What do you think?

Enjoy the day! The sun was shining when I took these photos and 10 minutes later it poured with rain and it is so dark outside haha. Em x

Hand Creams - Tried and Tested

Hi all. I have been deliberating for a while as to whether I should mix my blog up a tad and include reviews of a whole range of products apart from nail polish and tonight I decided "why not", so here I present to you my first non-polish related post (sort of) all about the hand creams I love to use. I have always had dry hands and it gets especially bad in winter. I distinctly remember having such dry hands that I had little cuts all over my fingers and they would bleed and were so sore. Mum said no more and bought some cotton gloves for me and proceeded to slather cream all over my hands at night, putting the gloves on and telling me to go to bed. I was slightly perplexed but that first morning I woke up and saw my hands, wow. It really worked. Always listen to your Mum! :P

The creams:

KORA Organics by Miranda Kerr - Daily Hand Cream - This is one of my favourite hand cream. It smells absolutely beautiful, not too overpowering but still enough to make you want to smell your hands all the time. The non-greasy formula is another major bonus and it soaks in quickly so you don't leave greasy fingerprints wherever you go.

Loccitane Dry Skin Hand Cream - I got this as a sample in a magazine and boy was I impressed. It smells like shea butter which is glorious and a small amount goes a very long way. It comes in one of those aluminium tubes which I think are great, you can tell a bit easier when you are getting low on product.

Endota Spa Lavender and Alpine Pepper Hand Cream - Beautiful product. This small sample tube was $10 and lasts a while. Smell absolutely positively devine, can't get enough of it. Another non-greasy formula. Love.

Sukin Hand and Nail Cream - Came as a buy one get one free with another of their products. This cream is not my favourite and I haven't used it in a while to be honest. Quite greasy and doesn't soak into your hands very well.

Neutrogena Hand Cream - The famous "slather on at night with gloves" hand cream. Absolute saviour for my hands when they are incredibly dry. It is very thick and probably not the best to use during the day but at night, a total winner.

So there you have it everyone, my first post off the topic of nail polish. My favourite hand creams are by KORA and Loccitane (they don't dull nail polish either!!! Some creams have this effect on polish). They both do wonders for dry skin and have a lovely formula. I am really excited about mixing up my blog, I love having a small page all to myself :) What hand creams do you use?

Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish Review - "Jazz Funk"

Hi everyone! I am so sorry for not having blogged for a while! It feels like I have been away forever! I have just been getting back into the swing of uni and figuring out my timetable and things like that but I am back! So, shopping with mum is always dangerous and I spent $100 in Priceline yesterday (the Aussie equivalent to Boots and places like that I believe, but about half the size lol). Only $16 was on nail polish and I was very proud of myself. After reading an awesome review by the hilarious and wonderful Essiebutton, love this girl, I decided I just had to have a few of the new Rimmel Salon Pro polishes. Kate Moss designed 10 of the colours I believe and the ones with her signature on them distinguish these. I didn't realise until I got home that both the colours I got were designed by her :) I picked up Disco Fever and Jazz Funk. Today I have Jass Funk to show you and oh my god I freaking LOVE this!!! It is a beautiful pink/rose colour and it dries with an almost gel like finish. It is so shiny!

Get a load of this baby haha. This is two coats with a top coat. I was deliberating for a while about the top coat as I didn't know if it needed one or not. I went for it just as added protection against chipping. These polishes are promised to last for 10 days without chipping so let the experiment begin! The sun is shining today so I went for a natural photo, no flash.

With flash. I love the bottles and the formula on these polishes. It had a large, flat brush and you know my obsession with small brushes as I seem to have tiny nails...well...this was the exception. I found the brush extremely easy to use and my overall look didn't turn out as messy as I thought it would. Success! I won't be as picky with my brushes now :P Two coats of this polish applied like butter. You could probably get away with one coat if you made it quite thick.

Ok the weird combination of natural light and flash makes it look like I have chips out of the tips of my polish. This is not the case. I have slight tip wear on my middle finger and I think I have determined the culprit. Does anyone else seem to get itches everywhere right after they've painted their nails? I know, its weird but I do. I always try not to itch as it will ruin my nails...extremely annoying. Anyways, I think this makes the tip wear a little faster. Odd rant over lol.

I really like this photo. Stole some flowers mum got for her birthday and took a photo with them :) Yellow and pink is a great colour match. No flowers were harmed in the making of this post and they are now back in their vase :P

If you are looking for a well priced drugstore nail polish, Rimmel is a great bet. This is the first Rimmel I tried (never got around those fat brushes) and I am glad I grabbed some. Thanks Essiebutton! I purchased this for $8.95. Not the cheapest but I would buy heaps more of the range they're that good. Have you tried these yet? What are your thoughts?

Enjoy your weekend, wherever you are and I will be back soon! I have missed my little blog community too much! Em x

Baby Cambridge Inspired Nails!

Hi all! I have a quick post for you today, I would have posted this a week ago but have been caught up starting uni again and working, the joys of study haha. I was ecstatic to hear the news that Kate had given birth to a baby boy, I was jumping around the house for days! I decided to wear my new Inglot shade, #687, which is a gorgeous bright blue, in honour of Prince George's birth!

#687. I also had to use Butter London's Pitter Patter as an accent nail, how could I resist!? This shade was so easy to apply, I loved it. This was two coats of both #687 and Pitter Patter and I think they work so well together! One downside to the Inglot shade was staining :/ I took it off and my nails were (and still are!) yellow :( Interestingly enough, Pitter Patter left no trace of staining whatsoever and it is the much darker colour! I have had this problem with blue shades before which is such a pity as it is fabulous!

I am sorry that this was such a quick post, I am waiting on an order from Born Pretty Store which includes stamping plates etc. I have never tired any nail art so I can't wait to give it a shot :) Hopefully I get that soon and I will have an abundance of posts for you. I may have gone to the shops yesterday and purchased Inglot #304 (I am obsessed now). It was $8 and is a beautiful pink/orange shimmer shade, cant wait to try it!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this! I have already grabbed all the magazines I could get my hands on to do with Prince George's birth :P I am so happy!!!

Have a great day, Em x

Inglot O2M Breathable Nail Enamel - #664 Swatches and Review!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, I know I did! So, on Saturday morning I spent about an hour looking up swatches of any Inglot Nail Polish I could find. They had been on my want list for a while and as a present to myself for passing all my uni exams (YAY), I decided to go on an Inglot spree. I dragged my brother to the shops (he dragged me to the tattoo parlour beforehand, no ink done, just ideas, it tempted me again I will say that though) and ended up buying 5 polishes, one from their normal range and 4 from the O2M Breathable Range (some were 50% off, I need to go back there and search for some more) and I am so happy with what I got!

Here are four of the polishes I chose! They don't have names unfortunately, just numbers (kind of reminds me of sheep and cattle, just get a number and no name LOL). These are #387, #687, #636 and #615. I got the purple for 50% off which I was so pleased with! Now onto the one I am wearing now...The bright green!!!

This is #664, or as I have dubbed it, "Electric Lime". It is a gorgeous, bright, easy to apply green with a hint of shimmer. The shimmer didn't transfer to the nail as you see in the bottle which was a pity as it looked amazing! I tried looking outside and was turning my hand in all different directions to try and find some shimmer. I saw a tiny amount but the top coat seemed to have dulled it a bit. This was 2 coats with a top coat. It applied like butter and the brushes are fantastic. I asked the girl who was helping me if there was any trick to the O2M formulated ones but she said just use it like a normal polish and it will be thicker so you'll need less coats, which is completely true!

I love the bottles of these O2M polishes! They are described on the Inglot website as "contains the Polymer KS_02, which allows moisture and oxygen to pass through to keep nails in the best condition. Does NOT contain toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) or camphor". I thought this was a great idea and was so keen to try it out! I havent taken this off yet so don't know about the condition of my nails, whether this polish has made a difference or not I can't be sure! I thought for a bright green this would be thin and shocking to apply but it was just like a normal creme. Amazing! I am not a huge green polish fan but this one I don't mind, its not as bright in real life as in the photos, was very tricky to capture!

I tried to capture the shimmer in the bottle but it didn't work as well as I thought. Oh well! It is there though! Lol. I have had no problems with chipping or anything, the staying power is great! I am up to day 3 of wear and only have very very slight tip wear.

I was really impressed with the Inglot colours. I can't believe I have never stopped by their stall before, the shopping centre we go to is about 10 mins from home and believe me, mum and I are there a lot haha. We may go back today actually and if we do I am checking out the 50% off container again for sure! These were quite expensive, the pink, as it is from their normal range, was $16 and the O2M colours were $21 (one was 50% off remember! LOL). I think it is cheaper online in the US but only by a few dollars which isn't too bad. If you haven't tried these give them a go, even try just one and see if you can stop there! They have a huuuuge range of colours (next time I will try and take a sneaky photo of the polish display for you) and believe me, I took ages deciding which ones to get! I hope you enjoy this and try some Inglot colours for yourself! Just google Inglot and you will be on your way!

Have a beautiful day, I have another week of holidays, wahoo! :D

OPI "Can't Let Go" Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! I am back!!! It has been way too long since I did my last blog post that was actually related to nail polish! :P Today I have for you my first, yes first textured polish! It is a liquid sand from the Mariah Carey Collection by OPI. I can't believe it took me so long to jump on the textured bandwagon, I am in love with this polish! As you probably know, I went for a quick visit to Melbourne over the weekend and stayed with friends. I had to get some polishes of course! I stopped at the OPI counter and saw this one just sitting by itself and thought wow look at that purple! Textured too, why not! I didn't know it was part of a collection until a wonderful girl on Facebook let me know! Can't Let Go is a lovely purple base with large and small pieces of glitter and shimmer, totally diva like, just like Mariah :P Here are my swatches!

Can't Let Go. I adore this purple it is fantastic! Application for this was a breeze. I am not a glitter polish person so wearing this was completely out of my nail comfort zone! The formula was great, I thought with glitter it would be gloopy and hard to work with but it was the absolute opposite. I didn't have to do any clean up! So happy. Yes, the brush was wider and fatter than I like but I am getting used to the OPI brushes now and the brush didn't affect my application at all!!!

This had such a great shimmer to it! Slightly blurred so you can see that! There is even some red in there which you can't see on the nail but the photo shows it wonderfully! Some of the larger glitter pieces were dispersed a little unevenly, on my pointer finger I seem to have heaps but on my little finger I actually have no larger pieces. This is the only "bad" thing I have to say about the polish and really, it doesn't concern me in the least!

Bottle shot. So so happy with this! See the blue shimmer that comes out too! Love it. I was tossing up between this and one of the Bond Girl polishes and so glad I decided on this. My love for purple won me over, along with the fact I had never heard of this polish before and I can now see myself becoming a glitter polish fan too!

The colour in the bottle was quite close to that which transferred onto the nail so I was very pleased! The texture of this liquid sand is so cool! I can't stop playing with my nails lol. I used two coats of Can't Let Go with a base coat. I thought without a top coat it would chip so easily and I would lose the effect of it right away but so far so good! No chipping or anything yet, another bonus!

I took this shot outside just this morning. The weather here at the moment is cold, dull and raining so not too bright but you can see the matte look of the polish and the texture. I did the dishes last night and everything and the polish has completely stayed in place. You can see the amount of hexagonal purple glitter on my pointer compared to the other fingers but I like it!

I will leave you with one of the many pictures I took on my trip. This little koala posed for the perfect camera shot. Most photos I took on my phone, so when I figure out how to get them from there to my computer I will show you some more :)

I love my first liquid sand polish. OPI is steadily becoming a brand of polish I love again (not loving the price here, thats for sure! This one cost me $19.95!). Can't Let Go is the perfect mix of purple, shimmer and glitter and I am so happy with it. Fabulous in every way, they have done a great job with this one. If you haven't tried it, you really should give it a go, the finished look is just stunning! Next on my OPI wishlist is Yoga Ta Get This Blue (if anyone has this and wants to swap/sell, please let me know!!!). What OPI polishes do you love?

Have a beautiful day and I will be back soon, I have missed blogging and nail painting so so much! Fingers crossed I won't have to work until Thursday so I can play with another polish before then :P

Photographs :)

So, during exam time I haven't had many chances to properly paint my nails so I thought I would take some inspiration from a dear friend Melissa from Lacquer Reverie and show you some random photos I have taken. Hope you like them and this gets you through until my next nail related post! (I hope you don't mind Mel!)

This was one of the first photos I took with the camera I got for my 21st birthday :) When the lavender bush out the back was actually alive and the bees were having the time of their lives.

An icing flower from my 21st cake.

The table decorations from my birthday. Taken with my new camera, I was so happy to get this as a present!

This is the koala I was talking about to you Mel :P Taken with my phone camera so a bit blurry but this was one of the decent shots I got!

A duck at uni. They are so used to people it is crazy. They take food out of your hand and climb all over your lap. One even tried to get into my uni bag :P

I went to Sydney about a year ago with a good friend of mine and we visited Taronga Zoo. The elephants are gorgeous :)

Such a beautiful day in Sydney. Our hotel was across the Sydney Harbour Bridge so we walked across it into the city each day, it was fantastic! This is the Opera House I managed to capture :)

I will leave you with this one :P Mum and Dad got me a voucher to be a zookeeper for a day at the local zoo, was the perfect present for me! We got to feed the giraffes, they were amazing! This one loved saying hello!

I really hope you enjoy this post and it gives you a bit more insight into me as a person :) I will be back soon with a polish post! Have a great day!!!
